What it is
Seven sections: the tower and its record; four standing duties as a real roster table; the whale count; the keeper's-store museum; visiting; joining; footer. The signature moment is the tower's own light: the beam swings up and settles out to sea once, 1.6s, and ends at rest (the resting state is the base CSS, so it renders correctly with animations off). The count section is a hand-tally in fives, one stroke per whale, generated from the same eight weekly figures that sit in the expandable numbers table — 397 strokes, 75 crossings, and the totals agree.

Design notes: type is Petrona (a colonial newspaper/Maritime Services ledger serif) against Public Sans, deliberately out of the default pool. Palette is limestone paper + slate-green sea ink + one accent, the oxide red of the tower's own daymark; amber appears only in the lamp, because that is light that exists in the subject. One gradient, one border style, zero shadows, zero border-radius, and no all-caps micro-labels anywhere. Sections are a ledger, a roster, a count sheet and a site plan rather than a run of identical feature cards.

Verified, not asserted
  Title 87 chars, description 159 chars, og:title/description/image (+type, width, height, alt) and a summary_large_image card.
  All 9 internal anchors resolve; the 4 external links were each fetched and return 200; no social icons, no dead hrefs.
  360 / 414 / 768 / 1024 / 1280 / 1600 px: document scroll width equals viewport width at every one — zero horizontal overflow. The tally scrolls inside its own box below ~880px and fits full-width above it.
  Keyboard Tab gives a 3px solid outline with 2px offset (:focus-visible matches); in the dark sections it switches to amber at 7.5:1.
  Contrast measured in the browser: body 12.8:1, links 5.6:1, provenance 6.3:1, dark-section text 7.25:1, tally labels 14.4:1 — all pass AA, most pass AAA.
  Both fonts load from disk with no fallback (document.fonts reports 4 faces loaded, all checks true).
  Rendered screenshots of the hero, tower drawing, tally and site plan were inspected, and the defects that showed up were fixed: a broken beam origin, labels crossing the coastline into illegible ground, and a grid min-width that let the tally shove the page sideways at 360px.

Two things you should know
  A second agent was writing to the same directory while I worked and overwrote /home/venus/index.html three times, twice mid-verification (it preserved my file as index.peer-preserved-*.html on its way past). I restored my build at 03:47 and re-confirmed it is the file being served — but if that other process runs again, the root copy may be replaced. The copy in cape-solander-lighthouse-1877/ is untouched and complete; copy it back over index.html if that happens.
  The org, its tower, prices and addresses are invented, and the page says so in a source comment (the geography is real: Cape Solander is on Gweagal Country in Kamay Botany Bay National Park, and there is no lighthouse standing on it — Cape Baily Light, 4 km south, is where the 1950 detail comes from).

To view it: cd /home/venus && python3 -m http.server 8731, then http://127.0.0.1:8731/index.html (I had that server running; serving over HTTP rather than file:// avoids browsers blocking the local font files).
